Apple Jelly Recipe 3
Ingredients:
20 pcs of large ripe apples (pippins); pare, core, chopped
Zests from 4 pcs of yellow lemon; grated
Lemon juice (from the grated 4 lemons)
Water
2 c of sugar loaf (for every 2 c of liquid)
Instructions:
Place apples inside a clean jar. Add lemon zests then cover them tightly. Place jar on a large pot with water. Let water boil until apples dissolve. Strain through the jelly bag then mix liquid with juice.
Measure the combined liquid then add sugar loaf; place inside (porcelain) kettle. When sugar has melted, place kettle above heat and let it boil; skim for every 20 mins until it thickens like a jelly. Place inside tumblers then cover with paper towels and a lid.
