Apple Dumplings Recipe 4
Ingredients:
Apples
Sugar
Cinnamon
Instructions:
Make a (rich biscuit) dough; pinch off a chunk and roll it out to a thin crust for pie. Cut to squares, enough for the size of apples. Pare and core the apples then slice them in half.
Place two pieces of apples (half) in the crust and sprinkle cinnamon then sugar on them. Wrap the apples tightly.
Arrange dumpling onto a buttered dripping pan, with smoothened side facing up. Place butter atop of every dumpling and sprinkle lots of refined sugar then turn in one cup of (boiling) water.
Bake moderately for 45 mins. Baste once with liquor. Serve dumplings with sugar, cream or pudding-sauce.
