Apple Custard Recipe
Ingredients:
12 pcs of juicy apples (pippins, large); pared, cored, and quartered
Lemon zests; grated finely
1/2 c of sugar
6 pcs of eggs; lightly beaten
4 c of milk
Nutmeg
Instructions:
Place the apples inside a saucepan, add zests and small amount of clean water. Stew until tender. Mash the apples and this will have 3 cups of mashed apples. Add sugar and allow to cool.
Alternately add eggs and mashed mixture onto the milk. Stir thoroughly and pour onto a baking dish or cups. Bake for 20 mins.
Let it cool and sprinkle grated nutmeg on top.
